Convulsion in children can occur when there is a peak of body temperature (increased fever). Especially when the child has been showing signs of fever and nothing is done medically to calm the fever. Normally parents are usually being told of how to manage fever at home by first of all exposing the child (That is removal of the child’s clothes and allow air to touch the body). I visited a friend of mine who gave birth to a baby, that morning that I came; the baby was being bathed by my friend’s neighbor. So when she brought those things, the woman collected the charcoal and mixed thoroughly with the palm oil and then applied it to baby’s armpit and held the baby’s arms still and refused to talk or respond to anybody until after about 5 minutes. The worst of it all is that some of them actually know that their pregnancies are not real, while some do not even know. This is alarming, horrifying and disturbing to hear of all sorts of things used these days by some of our young girls in order to get rid of pregnancy. Even some are given by the parents of these young girls in order to save them the shame of being disgraced in the public.
