It is still surprising that till this time, so many people have failed to understand the physiological functioning of the body system. They do not believe that at one point in time someone can actually fall sick due to physiological imbalance that might occur in the system, and which will require medical intervention to correct the imbalance. Instead they will tell you its spiritual attack.
No one is against anyone becoming highly spiritual, but becoming unnecessarily careless with your life in the name of being spiritual is totally unacceptable, even God will hold you responsible for that.  I have seen so many people die from ordinary malaria because of spirituality. Someone will be having signs and symptoms of malaria, instead of going to the hospital, will rather bring water and convert it with prayers to spiritual drugs and drink and tell you he or she is alright and by the time complication arises, the person dies.
A woman was brought to the hospital half dead, after the doctor saw her; he diagnosed cerebrovascular accident (stroke). He told the relatives the woman has stroke. The husband of the woman said they are aware of the fact that she has stroke, but the type of stroke she has is the spiritual type and not the hospital type (inukwa). That their pastor foresaw this stroke some months back and told her that someone from somewhere will inflict her spiritually with stroke and that if she happens to go to hospital she will die. So she should go into some serious prayers.  Meanwhile this woman has been suffering from high blood pressure which they claimed that God has been taking care of it and the pastor told her to stop every drug and face prayers. When she now went down with stroke, they moved her to the church according to pastor’s order who prayed for her till he could no longer continue when her condition worsened and they pastor disappeared they now brought her to the hospital.
WHAT IS STROKE?
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures and bleeds, or when there is a blockage in the blood supply to the brain. The rupture or blockage prevents blood and oxygen from reaching the brain’s tissues. Without oxygen, brain cells and tissue become damaged and begin to die within minutes
Signs of stroke
Paralysis, numbness or weakness of arm in the arm , face and leg especially on one side of the body, trouble speaking or understanding speech, confusion, trouble walking etc.
Risk factors that can predispose you to stroke: Unhealthy diet, inactivity like lack of exercise, alcohol consumption, tobacco use, age, heart disease, high blood pressure etc. (www.healthline.com)

·         Please my brethren, the God that created Doctors and nurses, knows what he did by doing so. If you think you can pray, first of all take your sick one to the hospital, and then back up every treatment with your prayers.
