CAESEREAN SECTION? GOD FORBID!!! AND SHE LOST HER MARRIAGE AFTER MASSAGE

God forbid!! Is usually the first expression you get from some pregnant women when you tell them that they are likely going to give birth through caesarean section.  Caesarean section is a surgical procedure by which a baby is delivered through an incision in the mother’s abdomen often performed because vaginal delivery would put the baby or mother at risk. It is also called ‘giving birth through operation’

A certain woman registered for antenatal in a hospital, after her second scan, it showed that the baby was lying transversely (across), she was around seven months plus with the pregnancy. So the doctor told her that if by her ninth month and the baby does not turn to the normal lie (longitudinal) she would be scheduled for caesarean section. Immediately her mood changed and she left without coming back, even on her appointment day. After some weeks, she was rushed to the hospital said to have labored for some days in some woman’s house who had been massaging her. According to her, the woman asked her to stop coming to the hospital and that she would massage her until her baby turns. And this kept on going until the day she felt something has gone wrong with the massage as to the kind of pain and discomfort she felt on that day’s massage and that was also the day she went into labour. At that moment she accepted caesarean section and was taken into the theater, the baby came out with his head turned backward and dead.  The husband who was there too after hearing the story and seeing the nature of the dead baby told her instantly there that the marriage was over and left after settling her bills.

· Our pregnant women! Please and please! Let us abstain from this barbaric thing called ‘MASSAGE’ it is causing more harm to us than good.  The baby’s head was turned backward as a result of massage.  If you have been able to go through pregnancy for nine months and at the end you lost the child due to your own mistake, then of what use was the suffering for?

· Giving birth through vaginal delivery or through caesarean section are all normal delivery, it doesn’t matter the means through which you gave birth. What matters most is the baby and the mother being alive and healthy.

So many women that have gone through pregnancy have lost their chances of being called mothers because of the phrase ‘delivering like women of Hebrew’.   This ‘delivering like women of Hebrew was coined from the bible “ye shall give birth like the women of Hebrew” mean while it did not specify what kind of delivery women of Hebrew went through, whether it was caesarean section (through operation) or vaginal delivery.   Believe me, that these two processes are both considered acceptable and normal ways of giving birth to children in human beings, but some of our women here, consider vaginal delivery as the only normal way a woman should be put to birth and they also believe that it was the only way the Hebrew women gave birth.
